Edward Cairns
Edward Cairns joined Clearwater in 2007 and is a member of the Firm's Management Committee. As head of restructuring, Mr. Cairns works with the investment team primarily on North Asian and European credits focusing on deal structuring, negotiation and execution. Prior to joining Clearwater, he was a Partner in White & Case, LLP, where he specialized in business restructuring and insolvency. Mr. Cairns has received numerous industry accolades for his work including being recognized in 2004 as one of 20 restructuring lawyers globally as "Best of the Best" by International Finance Law Review. Mr. Cairns is an Honours Graduate in Law from the University of Glasgow and is admitted to practice law in Scotland and Hong Kong.
