Eugene Snyman
Eugene is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates. He joined the firm in 1998 in London as an investment consultant focused on general investment issues including asset allocation advice, manager research and selection, and investment programme evaluation, in addition to serving as an alternative assets specialist private investments consultant. He relocated to the firm's Singapore office in 2002 to focus on the Asian markets and manager research. In 2004 he established a presence for the firm in Australia and formally opened the Sydney office in 2007.
Eugene advises a variety of clients in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, including foundation and family office clients, pension funds, corporations and government-related agencies. He assists clients on general investment issues such as governance, investment policy development, manager evaluation and selection, performance benchmarking, and as an alternative assets specialist consultant Eugene is actively involved in advising clients on the construction, implementation, and monitoring of their global alternative asset programmes. He has authored numerous manager due diligence reports for clients and has authored several of the firm's alternative assets research reports. He has presented at the firm's Asian workshops held in India, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore, and at numerous industry conferences.
Before joining Cambridge Associates, Eugene was a Portfolio Manager Associate with RMB Asset Management in South Africa. Eugene graduated from the University of Johannesburg (R.A.U.), South Africa with a Masters Degree in Economics (Cum Laude).
