Mei Hu
Mei Hu heads up the Asian PE Fund Investment team for Swiss Re Private Equity Partners.
Previously, she spent eight years at Angelo, Gorden & Co.'s private equity group where she was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and monitoring private equity investments in the U.S. She made investments in industries including specialty financing, power and energy, retail and consume services. She was a Board Member for six portfolio companies during the period. Subsequently, she relocated to Hong Kong and headed up both the private equity investments in China and the business development in Asia for Angelo, Gordon.
Prior to that, Mei structured convertible and equity derivative securities at Merrill Lynch's Equity-Linked Capital Markets. She also spent a few years at Merrill Lynch's investment banking division covering industrial clients.
Mei graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wellesley College and received an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
