Suzanne Tavill
Suzanne Tavill is responsible for AMP Capital's alternative investment platform that is housed with the Multi Asset Group. This encompasses its illiquid investment program which includes: a private equity program, an infrastructure program and an opportunistic/real asset (e.g. agriculture, asset leasing, distressed assets) program. All programs are global in nature and incorporate the use of specialist managers, secondaries and co-investments. Suzanne's remit also includes oversight on the liquid alternative programs which includes hedge fund and absolute return exposures. Recommendations are made with respect to how much to allocate to these sectors and how to build alternatives exposure to meet clients' objectives. Clients include a range of internal portfolios as well as external clients.
Suzanne joined AMP Capital in early 2008, prior to which she had spent five years at van Eyk Research, Sydney, the last four as Head of Research. Before moving to Australia, she was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Investment Management, responsible for their UK small and mid cap portfolios. She was also a member of the European small and mid cap and UK all cap teams.
Suzanne has a Master of Science in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics, in addition to a Bachelor of Business Science with Honours in Economics and Honours in Finance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
